Our postgraduate courses

For whom?

If you have already completed a degree in your major subject at another music institute in Germany or abroad, you can complete postgraduate studies at the JBK to obtain your artistic qualification. The postgraduate program lasts four semesters, or six semesters for choral conducting and orchestral conducting.

What do I learn?

The postgraduate program focuses on your major subject. You will receive intensive instruction on your instrument and gain stage experience. If your major subject is singing, you will be trained in artistic dance and stage movement and will also take part in our opera workshop. The postgraduate program helps you to further develop your strengths and compensate for your weaknesses—so that nothing stands in the way of your career.
