Costs

The annual tuition fees at the JBK are € 5,250.00.
Exception: The annual tuition fee for piano as a major subject is € 4,950.00.

Financial support

The Johannes Brahms Conservatory in Hamburg is eligible for BAföG. If you study music education with us, you are entitled to a state grant under certain circumstances. BAföG for students does not have to be paid back.

If you live in your own household, the current maximum BAföG rate is up to € 803.00 per month. You can find out how high your personal entitlement is from the relevant BAföG offices or on bafög.de

We are here for you

We will be happy to help you find an apartment in Hamburg or a place in a student hall of residence, and if you need a residence permit to study in Germany, we will help you with your VISA application.
